Young's to stay loyal to Grimsby

Grimsby Town - Young's

Seafood giant Young's have confirmed they will remain as Grimsby Town's main sponsor next season regardless of whether the club remains in the Football League.

The company has been the club’s chief sponsor for the past six seasons and will continue to do so in 2010/11, providing Blundell Park bosses with a massive show of support in their current plight.

Dave Roberts, who co-ordinates the sponsorship on behalf of Young’s said, “Young’s is delighted to confirm that it will continue to be the main sponsor of Grimsby Town for the 2010/11 season.

“Obviously we are very conscious of the club’s present plight in terms of league position and we feel it is important that Grimsby Town goes into the latter part of the season with the reassurance of knowing that it has our full support for next season regardless of what happens on the pitch.

“This will be the seventh consecutive year that we have been the club’s main sponsor and underlines once again our continuing commitment to the club and the local community.

“We wish Grimsby Town all the very best for the remainder of this season and sincerely hope it will be able to retain its league status.”

Dave Smith, Grimsby Town FC commercial manager, commented, “Grimsby Town Football Club is delighted that Young’s have committed themselves to sponsor the Mariners for another season.

"It is great to have such a large national brand getting behind not only ourselves but the local community as a whole."
