Over the weekend there was a junior football tournament at Bradley, several Finals went to penalty shoot outs.

One particular game involved an under eleven mini soccer team.  The manager, who I am reliably informed, by someone who had played against him at Blundell Park in a reserve match, was an ex Manchester City player of many Premier League matches.

The ex pro sat his players down and asked who wanted to take a penalty, one hand stayed down.  He choose that player to take the first penalty.  The team was told that penalty shoot outs was like life - you win some you lose some.  If you team mates misses you don't hang your heads, you get to him first and make sure he knows that you support him regardless.  Win or lose take it on the chin, don't gloat.

What great advice, what would I have done, picked the best penalty takers if I am honest.  What would I do now if put in the same position? Hopeful reflect on this example.
