  Fresh 9 Grimsby Saxons 6
 GRS 7 Weight Watchers 3 OWKN 8 Blaine 2

'Jon Jo' Higton

Such a close score can almost be recorded as a win for Saxons, given the difference between the teams in the table.

At a late stage in the game the score was 5-5, only a late Fresh charge saved embarrassment.

Jon Higton stole show with a great hat-trick.  He was ably assisted by ‘Deano’ whose energy helped GRS beat 'WW' for second time in past three weeks.

Blaine had the misfortune of meeting OWKN including Leeds Futsal star Mathew Payne.  Mathew clinically notched six goals, and was the main difference between the teams.

Teams have asked why Mathew is allowed to play for OWKN as he previously played for BBS who let league down by withdrawing early this league.

Mathew tried to keep BBS playing, he owed no debts to League, as do other BBS players and management, and as a consequence the GFL does not think it fair he should be debarred from playing Wednesday futsal.
