 1_ymca_logo_-_high_res_-_copy.jpg   Grimsby Tigers 2 Vs £10 Crows Nest 9

Crows nest dominated in this one with some good build up play all-round, Grimsby tigers fought hard managing to claw back 2 goals to their credit.

Crowland 4 GSC 11

The David & Goliath fairytale reminded me of this match, before kickoff it was clear of the age difference between the two teams, & by the result you could easy make an assumption, Not the case at all as it was Year 8/9 side GSC that told this fairytale, Year 11's Side Crowland couldn't contain the free flowing futsal on display from GSC, The moral of the story is....Don't underestimate the opposition.
FC United 5 Vs Clee County 6

Game of the night:
Humberstone based FC United went into the game with high spirits, again the opposition towered above them but didn't let that bother them, Scoring early they kept tight & caught clee county on the break on more than one occasion, Then 10 minutes into the 1st half the unimaginable happened... Clee hit a fierce shot past the keeper at his far post, FC United's talisman Sam saved the ball off the line with his hand, The referee had no choice but to send off the young gun, Explaining that a goal scoring opportunity had been denied. Arguably the hand ball was not deliberate but was deemed a red because of the position of the ball & where it was headed. This changed the game dramatically, Clee county punished the 4 players as FC United didn't have any subs, The final result did not show a true reflection on the game, Full credit to FC United after witnessing a truly magnificent performance throughout. FC United's ' Tinny' MOTM.
