Humberstone Futsal Team

Toll Bar 1 Humberstone 11

Toll Bar took an early lead and matched Humberstone man for man first half, second period was the problem. Losing a goal Toll Bar made the mistake of chasing the game, lose a goal and defend for a while, don’t allow opposition to get a third and make the chase harder.  And if you are going to chase a game do it using the goal keeper as an added outfield player in opposition half, in the opposition half the four second rule does not apply.  Keep possession, you have an extra outfield player, until the ‘big chance’ arrives.  Difficult tactic but used by all top teams.

Distribution from Brad, Humberstone GK, example to other GK’s when to play short & when to throw long, one chip clearance went over the opposition GK to hit the angle of the bar & post.

Crowland Futsal 2 Crow’s Nest Blue 16

I have nothing but compliments for Crowland who show such enthusiasm for futsal game.  Game mirrored first game, even down to losing team scoring first.  Some great individual touches from Crowland players, matched by Crows’ Nest ability to finish.  Goal keeper injury did not help Crowland cause.

This was not a hiding, part of learning process......

Crows’ Nest Blue 0 Discoveries Titans 15

Forget the score, Crows' Nest was not humiliated, they was against a team that is exceptional.  ‘Max’ is untameable.  Titans’ seem capable of scoring off every attack; conversely they defend to the last man and never look like conceding.

Criticism of all three losing teams, they had individual players that did not show same enthusiasm to defence as they did attack.
