 Premier League

Valiant 6 - Fulstow Rovers 2. Valiant played some excellent futsal against a tam that never rolled over; Dan Power's Valiant had to work for every goal they scored. Both teams must be commended on the level of futsal played, this was not hybrid futsal/5 aside, this was futsal played with concentration and intend; a pleasure to watch.

Tom Hunter lead Valiant to 3-0 scoring 3 totally different types of goal, Dale Mason added another before a reply from Paul Herriman (Fulstow). 4-1 at the break.

Second half Valiant held the ball when they had possession, never chasing a 5th goal; if it came all when a good, but no mad urgency, they was contend to dictate game. When Fulstow had possession the game plan was to sit and frustrate save in the knowledge that it had to be a big play to beat Ryan Smith in goal.  A second goal from Dale Mason and a brilliant dribble and placed shot from Danny Durrossimo took Valiant to 6-1 before Paul Herriman notched his second.  Final score 6-2.  Valiant clear champions with a 100% record.

Special mention to match referees Gavin Sartain and Dan Mawer who had a challenging match brilliantly under control.

In the only other match Catalonia beat struggling Institute by a landslide; poor defensive organisation would was the main cause of goals conceded.

 Junior under 11 League

Discoveries Jets played club rivals Discoveries Juniors at 2nd Avenue, score 7-2 to Jets.

Drew Weatherall (Jets) interviewed with Kevin Bryant.

KB How good was your opponents?

DW Very good, always kept us working.

KB What was score at H/T and was you always in-front?

DW 3-1 at H/T, we always had the lead.

KB Is it easy playing against players you train with weekly?

DW Yes, you get to know what they do and their style of play.

KB who scored for your team?

My brother Liam scored 5, Branden and Deck got the others.

GSC Panthers & East Coast Lions 'A' all won by narrowest of margins, GSC Elite knocked back West Marsh after their great performance last week. Tigers and Waltham share 10.

East Coast Lions reports - Stu Orr

first off tonight was the ecl 'a' back in action after a week off. They were up against little devils who gave ecl 'a' a fight at the start of this campaign with a 4-4 draw. This time around the game was pretty much the same as last time except that i have to admit that ecl 'a' rode on their luck for most of the game. Having going 1 down early i thought here we go again. A quick sub was made and within 30 seconds of reedy coming on he pulled the goal back. H/T 1-1. The second half started the same ecl struggling to get a pass together and the little devils were bombarding at ecls goal. keeper saving, shots just wide, hitting the post, they did everything they could except score. Ecl had a kick in and morgan hit it towards goal coming off a defender and in to the back of the net. 2-1. Still drama at both ends LD trying to equalise and ECL trying to finish the game off. Full time 2-1 to ECL. still unbeaten in 7 but were lucky. Well played both sides.     The next game was ECL '

B' v table toppers panthers. I could go on forever with this report, however all i will say is ECL 'B' deserved a share of the spoils if nothing else. They hit the back of the net 4 times however the 2 dissallowed were due to kickins and no one touched the ball. ECL 'B' gave the panthers a good run for their money but sadly after fighting all the way to the final whistle the panthers ran out 3-2 winners. Unlucky to my lads but they are getting there slowly but surely.

GSC performance of week.

 Junior Under 13's League

Tigers maul Atlantic Seafood's.

Healing win keeps it nip and tuck with Discoveries Titans; 1 point seperates teams having played same games, goal difference is negligable.

Grimsby Soccer Club get first point with a superb 5-5 result against 3rd place Keelby.

 Tuesday League

Madrid go 3 clear as Trawl miss week, previous winners El Do-goes setting up a title challenge, Franklin College in highest position to date. Barca take welcome points off Clee Wanderers 8-6.

 Wednesday League

Shortened programme due to  Futsal supremo's Spain playing Germany.

Newton experience beats Scartholonia youth. Fresh beat AFC Trawl in tight best of 5 goals game.

Hemsell let themselves down again by not attending or reporting team problems, will ask LFA to sanction fines applied and stop players playing all football if need be. Leagues can only operate on reliability from all parties. the pitch was booked and paid for, the referee and opposition was there. Thankfully this is an isolated case.

 Thurdsay League

Results go to form, Grimsby Soccer Club and Bench Warmers both take opponents close.

Stand out result Everglaze 4, form team Inbetweeners 3
