Semi Finals          Potter Futsal vs. Newton Heath

                                Littlefields Futsal vs. Grimsby Auditorium

The Quarter Finals saw Newton Heath (Tuesday 2nd Ave) beat Le Osterals (Kent St Tuesday) after a penalty shoot out. Mike West (Newtons), conceded his team was outplayed by an excellent Osterals' team and was lucky to progress.

Potter Futsal kept the flag flying for Kent St Tuesday taking a major scalp by beating  Premier League  - Young's' Seafoods'10-5.  Young's' played their part in an excellent game but was always chasing the game.  The smaller ‘home' pitch suited Potters' style, which has been honed on the small pitch.  Young's' could not adapt or was it the fact ‘Fuller' kept them on the back foot that was the cause?

Littlefields vs. BBS Couriers lived up to its billing ‘Premier v Premier.'  Both teams packed with experienced futsal players, on paper the teams could not be separated.  An early Litts 2 gaol advantage was the cushion that saw them through; BBS are the comeback kings; Litts was too organised to let it happen.  Once in front they stayed in front.  Key battle was Gijon v Danny Durrosimo, Gijon kept Danny so involved his offensive forays was limited.  Whilst these 2 expertly negated themselves Sam Brooks and Matt Payne edged the match in Litts favour.

Grimsby All Blacks conceded their tie due to team holidays.  Disappointing as Grimsby Auditorium had changed shift patterns to make the game.  With a great cup tradition behind them an All Blacks win was not a fore gone conclusion.

Only 1 Premier team, 2 second Avenue Tuesday teams and 1 Kent Street team left.

The semi draw was made by Steve Goodwin (Grimsby Futsal)
