Magpies have stormed back after the disapontment of losing out League X to Gunners Watch. In an odd twist Gunners have imploded this season fighting to avoid the wooden spoon position with Grimsby Catalonia. The standard of the Premier league is such that the bottom two teams have great ability and can beat any other team on their day.
The standard was illustrated this Monday with 3 top draw games to referee. Shamrock scored 2 goals match of the day pundits would have drolled over but it still wasn't enough to see of Magpies who had key players, Hornigold, Spalding, Geroshimo, Dico, pulling strings all over the pitch.
Shamrock paid the price of having 5 players against Magpies 7. When they needed a break there was no one to come on, get one player injured or sent off, which is not difficult at futsal, and the game is over.
No team should have less than 7 players!
Fulstow 4 College 4. Two teams tactically aware, switch off for 1 minute and they will score. End to end, anyones game to the last kick.
Grimsby All Blacks are the form team, their game has stepped up a level since Lee Graves joined the England training camp. All Blacks started out as a team of outsatnding attackers, now they play and value defence first as the springborad to attack. Opium has had an outstanding first season, they are head and shoulders above teams of a similar age bracket. The score again tells you everything (4-2), a tight game that All Blacks lead from the start; but that Opium stretched them to the end. A goal when All Blacks were reduced to 4 men for 2 minutes wouild greatly have helped their cause.
Brilliantly refereed by Brain Noble, the advantage rule used time and time again with the foul being recorded when ball out of play.
