Tanks for Yara standing at short notice.  Close result indicates standard of Wednesday league, every team is competative.
When OWKN goal keeper John Mawer says they need a new GK, you know where the team problems are!
Newton Heath 2 Fresh 0
GRS All Stars 6 Gy Saxons 2

One of the best games I have ever refereed at Second Avenue, attack or defence the standard was exceptional from both teams.  When defences was breached gaol keepers made safe after save to keep their team in the game.

With 2 minutes left the thought had crossed my mind that this was a game that deserved to stay goal less, no team deserved victory or loss, the game was that good.

Newton scored with less than two minutes to play, Fresh responed with a goal, but the referee had blown in advance that the ball had gone out of play; in the resulting confusion Newton broke to score a second.

Amazing that these were the current bottom of league teams in action, I can safely say no other league would be able to offer such an excellent game from basement teams.

GRS use of Gavin Broughton (GK) in the opposition half was a tatic that paid big dividends.

A couple of the GRS goals was text book futsal.
