Young’s 4 Valiant 4.

Absolute cracker of a game from start to finish.  In a shortened 4 team League Valiant needed to redress an earlier defeat. Valiant took an early 2-0 lead, but Young’s' they have a history of getting out of bad situations; this was no different, as they levelled and then went ahead.  Scott Harris then levelled for Valiant with an exquisite finish off the inside of his weaker foot, placing the ball into the far bottom corner whilst riding a tackle and beating the keeper covering his near post.

5 seconds of brilliance that encapsulates what futsal is all about.

Shamrock 7 Grimsby Catalonia 3

Catalonia started well, 1-0 off the first attack, 2-0 shortly after. Shamrock are hard nuts to crack, they give everyone a testing match.  Shamrock are the masters of the fast counter attack, this is where they destroyed Catalonia.  When Simon Taylor was on the field playing defensive pivot Cats had the situation under control, when he was on the bench Shamrock caused mayhem.

Second Avenue lacks a roof, but its international size court creates games of a speed and a tactical finesse I would challenge any other local league to match.

Trawl 4 Franking College 5

Speaking to a spectator before the game I said 'this one was too close to call.'  How right I was, never more than 1 goal lead either way, 4-4 with second left on the clock, missed penalty, the game was Rizla tight.

El Doges 11 Clee Wanders 5

El Doges have a habit of winning, Clee of losing.  After the game referee Dean Gladwell game out with a thought I had in my head - Clee could have got more out of this game, they respected Doges too much.  They played at 90% not a 100%.

Fresh almost wreck BBS title aspirations, score 4-3 BBS.

Newtons  continue winning ways with 8-3 win against Trawl.

Standout result of the night Scartholonia 6 Blaine 4, a long overdue win against a team inform.

GSC Tigers 5-1 over ECL B  means they are 12 games without loss, 1 more than GSC Elite on 11.  Who will crack first?

Little Devils brought stable mates New Waltham down to earth from lats weeks success with a close 4-3 win.

Mid table GSC Panthers gained that great result they had threatened for some time, taking a point of leaders East Coast Lions is no mean feat.

Healing Hotspur 4 Discoveries Titans 4

a game you could write a book about.  Healing needed a draw to win the inaugural under 13 futsal league, Titans had to win.

Size wise the Healing team was the Titans, every player appeared a foot taller than his opponent. Titans was superb to half time, every player had a brilliant first touch followed by a pass to an opponent that mimicked professionals.  They were that good that they ran away from Healing 3-1 at half time. 4-1 shortly after the game restart, at this point most football games is over; futsal can be disrespectful.

Did Titans lose energy, Healing certainly never gave up, intentionally or not Healing appeared to defend deeper with 3 rather than 4 players.  It compressed the area for Titans to play football in, 4-1 to 4-4 with both teams having a last 30 second chance to grasp a win.

A credit to both sets of players.
Humberstone (two teams) and Toll Bar played a 3 team tournament that newcomers Toll Bar won with 2 straight wins.  Toll Bar was an age above so Humberstone can feel pleased they gave them a run for their money.

Pilgrims win a close game over GSC; East Marsh just find steam to beat Barca.
