Jones (Grimsby Soccer Club) in full flight vs. Chiefs

Shamrock beat an all star Harvest/BBS, and Catalonia beat Fulstow Rovers on a night of shocks.  A win for Fulstow would have taken them level on points and games played with Willows Valiant.

Shamrock are the Monday night form team with 4 wins in last 5 games. Shamrock and Catalonia have tightened the Monday night title race closer than it already was.

New team Grimsby Institute came close against the experienced El Dogoes.

In the junior futsal under 10 league New Waltham rattled Grimsby Soccer Club Tigers.  New Waltham scored in their first attack with a brilliant passing move that had them 1-0 up before most of their opponents had touched the ball.  1-1, 2-1 (Waltham), 2-2, finally 3-2(GSC).  What the score does not show is the number of times Waltham hit a post with the keeper beaten. Waltham's superb short passing game deserved at least a point, they were a credit to how the game should be played. Excellent refereeing and an audience of supportive parents made for a great game; well worth enduring the cold to watch.

Top junior under 10 team, Breakaways, continued at the top with an emphatic 8-0 win against Lightening Lads.

At Kent Street Chiefs and Grimsby Soccer Club battled out a great 4-4 draw whilst North Somercotes beat leaders Inbetweeners with the odd goal in 9.
