Middlesbrough Futsal Club newsletter – Season 2007/2008
In this issue:
Under 16s tournament - new date, membership, still chance to play for Boro, pro evo tournament and fancy dress bar crawl.
Under 16s Futsal Tournament
The 1st North East England Futsal Cup is taking part on the new date of 15th October at the University of Teesside so if you are part of an under 16s football team, or a 5-a-side team that fancies their chances at winning the biggest futsal competition of its kind in the North East, then go to http://www.borofutsal.co.uk for all the information. There are some great prizes up for grabs (including TFM Sweet tickets), t-shirts and goody bags for everyone, plus trophies and medals for the winners. There is also a friendly game featuring Middlesbrough straight after the Under 16s tournament, which is free entry for all and kicks off at 8pm (details TBC).

Fancy some fancy dress?
Wednesday night (that is tonight 3rd October) is the first club social of the year, and to stick to tradition it involves fancy dress and a bar crawl. We are meeting in the Terrace Bar at 7pm. For more info on the social check out our facebook group.
Membership
Middlesbrough Futsal Club membership for 2007/2008 is now open. Members will receive a goody pack, FREE entry to all home games plus will be kept up to date with news of trials, fixtures and tournaments. You will also receive a free T-shirt to wear to show your support at our matches plus 20% off all Boro Futsal Merchandise. It's a great way to support your local team while also benefitting from a range of discounts in Middlesbrough. We have confirmed that Guido's and Al Forno in Middlesbrough will offer members 10% discount on production of the membership card and we will announce any more as soon as we get them signed up! Pro Evo tournament
We will soon be hosting a Pro Evolution Soccer tournament. Once we have secured a venue and a date then we will announce it on the website. It will be a doubles tournament and it will be £10 (£5 each) entry with the winners taking home a cash prize as well as other prizes. There will be 4 PS2s and 4 TVs, more info coming soon!
Tees Valley Futsal League
The FA Futsal Cup will start in November with the regional qualifying rounds. The Tees Valley Futsal League is a direct route to the national championship, with the winning team progressing to the playoffs for the FA Futsal Cup Finals. We are looking for teams to enter the league from all over the Tees Valley. Any football team, Futsal team, or group of friends can enter. All the details are on the Boro website. Once we have 8 teams we will start arranging fixtures. It's a great way to get into futsal at grassroots level while also aiming for the top.
