Leeds is looking an excellent move for Matt Payne after FC Grimsby was forced to take a sabbatical from National League futsal. With offers from other clubs on the table Matt needed to make the right choice.

His season started with a 3-3 draw at Manchester Futsal Club.  Manchester and Leeds have facilities Grimsby can only dream about.

The second game, this Sunday was even better as they beat title aspirants (Middlesbrough) 10-5. 9-2 to Leeds at the break.

Leeds are looking to make an impact on the league this season with ambitions to progress to the National League playoffs and the Futsal FA Cup.

Manager 'Junior' quoted - ''there is a new infectious team spirit following the acquisition of a number of new skilled players with a good blend of British, Brazilian, Portuguese, Spanish and Belgian players. However, no matter from where they originate, each player is honoured to represent the City of Leeds.''

Elsewhere referee Gavin Sartain needed his abacus as Tranmer Victoria over ran East Coast Futsal, who are having a torrid start to the National League.  Score 18-2

Gavin Sartain reported ''A learning curve for East Coast as Tranmere where relentless in the play and finishing to match. Using the flying goal keeper tactic and keeping the ball throughout the game, Tranmere where confortable through out the match. But credit to East Coast as they kept at it and where rewarded in the second half with two quailty goal. East Coast will have to take all the positives and build on them for the next league game. New to the league, they have hit the ground running and need to learn fast to compete at National level Futsal.''

Ben Mortlock's Sheffield Futsal Club recorded a ridiculous 22-3 score vs. Liverpool.  Interesting to get the full story, early results suggest Liverpool and East Coast will be whipping boys unless they make progress, and fast.
