Harvest FC lost out a close fought County Cup Semi Final at Brigg to AFC Brumby at weekend.

2-0 in front at half time Harvest was against 10 men and in  a very strong position to close the game out in the second half.  Regrettably it was not to be as Brumby levelled to 2-2 to take the game into extra time.

Sadly Harvests great cup run ended as Brumby scored twice more to take the game 4-2.

Normally unreserved credit goes to the winners in these circumstances.  Not so in this instance.  Brumby totalled 11 yellow and 1 red card in a display that had no connection what so ever with 'the beautiful game' or the FA's own RESPECT campaign.

This was a well planned abuse of rules and the referee to halt the faster, cleverer, more skillful Harvest team.

Unless referees protect passing sides from such abuse the 11v11 game will end up being played in 'football fighting cages.'

How many futsal league players can you recognise in the team photo?
