Crow’s Nest 3 Grimsby Soccer Club 6
Grimsby Soccer is always
physically outclassed, but when speed of thought and passing skills are added
to the equation they are up with the best.
Three times they lead Crow’s only for Crow’s to level; it was on in the
later stage of the game when it was looking as it might go either way that GSC
found another gear to flatter the score.

Team Reece 4 Grimsby Tigers 3
Team Reece is not a one man team,
the fact Reece scored his team’s 4 goals made it look that way, but he was ably
assisted. The Tigers lacked teeth with
their front players not damaging Reece until the late stages when the game steadily
found life as Tigers pulled back from 0-4 to 3-4 and missed two chances to
level. Tigers new player (apologies
forgot your name), was excellent – deserves more energy from team mates.

Toll Bar 11 Crowland Athletic 1
Crowland looked, pre Christmas, as
if they had made the top five into a top six group, this game was a step back
from recent progress. Both teams had
many chances just Toll Bar (George 6 goals) took theirs better plus they had a
keeper in form when needed.
What’s that saying Crowland ‘when
the going gets tough the tough get going?’

FIFA referee, Gavin Sartain) watched last two matches. We are lucky that Gavin has offered his services to League to help improve game awareness.
League needs young referees.
