FC Grimsby under 14’s, managed by Steve Norburn, and enjoyed a great
tournament with five wins in five games.
Their squad of seven players included three under 13’s.
Discoveries Titans under 14’s had
mixed success, they needed to win their last game against Brunt School to be
runners up to FC Grimsby, second place was a qualifying position. They lost
1-0. Linconshire County FA Under 13’s football
champion’s - Titan’s just like Grimsby Soccer Club was playing at the lower end
of a two year age grouping, both teams could qualify next year and be in the
same grouping.
Grimsby Soccer Club under 11’s played five games in the under 12 boys group,
winning one and drawing one.
Andy Huntley reported that the team did superbly well, even in games they
lost. An independent report told me age (size) had had a big influence on
the games lost, and that in his opinion, the lads would walk the same group
next year. High praise indeed.
The two Lincolnshire finalists now proceed to the FA National Finals at the
fabulous new indoor futsal centre Birmingham.
