Grimsby Baptist Church are taking a rest.

After
five years in the Tuesday league at Second Avenue, Grimsby Baptist Church are
taking a rest. Several of our long serving players have left, some to get
jobs, or to get married and raise babies, or just to get away, and we cannot
always raise a full team. But we are rebuilding - rather like Town, I like to
think (?!). Legends like Lee "Terminator" Taylor, Stuart Chestnut,
Gyong and goalie Kevin Cook are not easily replaced. Good luck to all our old
friends, to the refs, and all the subs who helped us out, and we may meet
again. Cheers, John Wilson.
On behalf of all the Grimsby teams, and specifically those in the
Tuesday league, thanks for your support and the friendship gained over
those 5 years. There will always be a space for a Baptist team if they
choose to return.
Finally after spelling babtist wrongly over 100 times I know no not to take the 'P' out of baptist.
