All Blacks missed Sam Thatari, suspected broken ankle. That said they have strong players in every position, Shamrock, missing Lee Bushell, scored on the break and defended as is their style. It worked again.

The best game on an excellent night of futsal.

El Dogoes was always in-front, but only just. In the opening half Matt Payne cancelled out three El Dogoes goals with Frankilin equalisers.

The score tells you everything, this game was tight, separated by Chirney, forcing a stunning save off Steve Gooodwin and then brilliantly chipping the rebound into the goal.

Ben Mortlock had El Dogoes chances but hit the bar twice, Payne and Potter pulled strings but just could not get the elusive equaliser.

Playing with inspirational captain Phillip Wakefield in goal meant Clee was a quality outfield player missing. That said he played as goal keeper was his chosen position.

Valiant had quality in every position, stretching Wanders defence on every occasion they had the ball.

A lesser team than Wanderers would have been blown off the pitch, to a man they defended superbly.  The team efforts was capped with a class five man passing move - ending with a reverse pass and tap in goal.
