Discoveries vs. Grimsby Soccer Club

(Elite/Liitle Devils/N Waltham) Weekend game at Humberstone School

The score could have been 8-8. Neither goal keeper was going to allow that to happen, time after time a gaol bound shot was saved or pushed over the bar.

The keepers distorted the score as the Panthers keeper saw more of the action.

Discoveries achieved what is hard to do in futsal - they was the better team and lost.

Disappointing N Waltham performance, long ball kick ins and futsal are not good companions.

Always going to be tough for Discoveries, they lost both halves 5-0, so they was consistent.

Signs are that GSC have some 'footballing' talent developing, will allowing them to kick long ball develop that talent?

Foreign junior teams visiting our shores insist their protegees play short at kick ins, corners and play from the goal keeper.

Having hit the league summit East Coast are making a disastrous slide down the other side.

By all accounts Elite excelled with their passing and movement.

To win by 10 goals was a big shock to all concerned.
