Dear Coach

I’m writing to let you know about 2 practical courses we’ve got coming up in February:

·         04/02/2010 – Multi Skills Inclusion at Bricknell Primary School in Hull (6.30pm-9.30pm).

·         11/02/2010 – An Introduction To The FUNdamentals Of Movement at Hereford School in Grimsby (6.30pm-9.30pm).

Multi Skills Inclusion: (cost £25)

This is a 3 hour practical course aimed at coaches working in YST initiatives or regularly coaching candidates with disabilities. Prior attendance of ‘An Introduction to The FUNdamentals of Movement’ course would be beneficial, but is not essential.

The workshop includes a comprehensive textbook and is certificated by Sports Coach UK.

This workshop has been developed to provide Multi Skills coaches with additional skills to include a wider range of young participants, particularly young disabled participants, in their sessions.

By the end of the workshop you will be able to:

·         Understand the principles of the ABCs and how they link with inclusion

·         Develop effective inclusive sessions that will challenge both disabled and non-disabled young participants

·         Learn, develop and apply the skills to effectively deal with challenges that may be faced when delivering.

An Introduction To The FUNdamentals Of Movement: (cost £25)

This is a 3 hour theory course aimed at UKCC Level 1 and 2 coaches who want to learn or increase their knowledge of LTAD (long term athlete development) and how to integrate this into their coaching practice.

Candidates will receive a comprehensive textbook and a certificate from Sports Coach UK. The workshop provides all the essential information on the LTAD model and its practical applications. As well as general theory, it describes how to identify talented athletes and maximises your performers’ ability, achievements and commitment to sport through integration of the LTAD approach.

By the end of this workshop you will be able to:

·         Understand the reasons for adopting LTAD

·         Understand the concepts and key principles of LTAD

·         Recognise and respond to the implications for coaches and coaching

·         Identify appropriate action to integrate LTAD into their coaching.

If you’re interested in booking a place on either courses you can always email me here, or give me a ring in the office on 01472 267404.

Thanks a lot
