Dynamite 3 Elite 3

Two rare goal keeping errors assisted GSC Dynamite to a 3-1 lead at half time.  The second period Elite went for it, knowing they had to rectify self inflicted damage.  A late goal gave Elite a chance, then, with seconds left on the clock a last shot leveller.  In-between the Elite second half pressure Dynamite had threatened a fourth goal that would have won them the game, but to no avail.

Some great fast feet in the Dynamite team, far better technically than when I last watched them, or have I not been taking notice?

Futsal Tigers 7 Lions Pride 0

Lions put in a real shift, played some neat futsal but lacked killer finishing of Tigers team.  Score line gives a warped picture of match, 7-0 flatters Tigers.  That said Tigers was excellent and are contesting top place on merit.

Futsal Panthers 8 Spartans 2

As Spartans coach I can write this report from a personal perspective. I knew match would be tough and did not expect a win. Panthers beat their leagues under thirteen leaders 2-0 on Saturday.  Our squad is under 12’s with a u/11 included.  We was not outplayed, that extra growth and strength that goes with it was a big factor, plus Panthers have a settled squad, all things that impound on a match result.  I was delighted with Spartans creativity, the final finish was lacking.  In the last minutes gilt edged chances was made and missed.  This will change eventually, creating a gilt edged chance is the hard part, tapping the ball over the line will resolve itself.

Panthers strength could be seen from their long distance shooting, if it had been a ‘cross bar challenge’ YMCA would have lost 5-0.

Interestingly if the League was decided on goals scored, best defence or goal difference, Panthers would still be in pole position to win league.
