Fulstow have been a model team for the GFL for many seasons, so its doubly pleasing seeing their futsal talent is rewarded with the team name engraved on the winners shield. Fulstow have played cummulatively more games than any other GFL team, I would love to be able to calculate the teams win/lose ratio; it has to be very high in their favour.
As the form guide shows a strong last 5 games was the key to Fulstow winning
title, the league went to the last game, a credit to all
concerned. Youngs' quietely went about their business to to finish 3rd,
level on points with Willows Valiant. Valiant at one stage had the the
'league to lose,' which they did with only 1 win in their last 5 games! 4th
placed Shamrock with a bigger squad
might well have been higher placed.
Grimsby Institute only played 7
games as they entered league late, they played all teams once.
