Last week saw a number of fixtures cancelled due to Proms and I would envisage the same happening this next two weeks whilst I am not here as the Prom season continues. There were two surviving fixtures though and these were quite exciting encounters. FSRC All Stars played some great Futsal but couldn’t find the free flowing form that has seen them score a massive number of goals recently. F C Evolution were again inspired and motivated although they all seem to have a hand in the management currently? The White Tigers were staring defeat in the face at half time as they were at times out played by a younger and slicker Coruna side. The Tiger’s strength told in the end and they won a thrilling second half by two clear goals. Coruna must keep going they get better every week! The Tigers need some stability and a little less on the pitch arguing if they are to challenge for the title, which they are definitely capable of!

This Friday saw all eight teams in action and  Clee Phoenix took their turn to worry the Tigers. Once again it was the Tigers who fell behind, only to make an astonishing comeback to draw in what was an exciting and enjoyable game to referee. Most notably, the Clee keeper is due some recognition for ‘keeping them in it’ and their number 3 who had a very energetic and competitive match. On the Tiger’s side it was noted that Jamie had his best game yet for the Whites and worryingly their free scoring number 5 failed to register a goal for the first time this season! All Stars had a full team again this week and they played some silky Futsal. Coruna lads struck first and competed for the majority of the first half until their striker fell and injured his wrist. In a very sporting gesture the All Stars sub played for the Blues and gave a creditable performance. Unfortunately for Coruna the balance had gone and All Stars, inspired by some brilliant finishing by their number 6 and number 7 who scored 12 of the 15 goals between them, went on to a decisive victory. FC Evolution got a jolt back to Earth when they were dismantled by the rapidly improving Galacticos. These mainly Lindsey lads are playing some excellent Futsal and should not be dismissed in terms of the title! Evolution, to be fair, were a little out of sorts but I am sure that they will continue to improve after an encouraging performance the week before against the All Stars. Finally the Wanderers played the Untouchables, both teams failing to field a full side. It is time that these two eager teams brought in some new blood to boost their ranks. They will need a full compliment when playing Galacticos and All stars in the next couple of weeks! Although I did not see this particular game Danny Weltman refereed  it and said that both teams were a credit to the league and played a hugely entertaining game. The next two weeks will be run by Luke as I am away and on my return I will update the current top goal scoring charts seen below. Enjoy your Futsal lads!
