New updated rules are from FIFA and as such take immediate effect!

Three rules are straight forward:

1  Slide tackling is allowed! The rule for slide tackles is now the same as for 11v11.

A goal cannot be scored direct from the kick off.

3 The ball does not have to be directly on the line, it can be up 25cm behind line.

4 The goal keeper - when you can pass back to him?

The GK can only have the ball returned to him after it has touched an opponent (the ball crossing the half way line has been deleted).

After the opponents have touched the ball he can have the ball passed to him as many times as he wants PROVIDING HE IS IN THE OPPONENTS HALF OF THE FIELD. Confusing? Very.

If the GK does infringe the rule it becomes an indirect free kick taken from the edge of his penalty area in the centre of the goal.

Please be patient on this last rule. Referees at the 2010 FA Futsal Cup found it difficult to adjust to new rule.
