Not the complete disaster story the score indicates, but a big loss never the less.

Damage was done to the Grimsby team when Harvest FC played AFC Freindship from Gainsborough in the LFA County Cup Quater Final at Novartis on the day preceding.  Down to 9 v 11 after 10 minutes Harvest took the tie to extra time and penalties with a enormouse team performance.  Unfortunatly that performance left Shane Garvey injured for sunday and Danny Durrosimo, although he played was drained from the Saturday game.  To make matters worse keeper Leigh Graves was taken ill on the way to the game, being a specialised position he played, but had he been an outfielder we would have left him out.

Grimsby started brightly and took a deserved early lead. Simon Taylor breaking up a Tranmer attack and setting up Sam Brooks for a great finish.
