Last weeks opponents, East Coast Futsal, recently made a club clubs tour of Tuscany, Italy.
Due to a complication only 3 games were possible, however each game
was a huge test against Semi Professional opposition from Serie C1 &
C2. The club played IGP Pisa, Elba97 & A.S.D Misericordia Pistoia.
The tour was a huge success and a great learning curve for the
players and staff about the level required but also how clubs are run
and set up.
None the less the team had a brilliant experience none of them will
forget, especially the game v Pistoia which was played in the
PallaPrato, stadium of Prato Futsal and a venue used in the Uefa Futsal
Cup, which seats approx 2000 people!
Team manager Steve Brennan told us that the tour cost his players £150 full board.
Maybe a challenge some Grimsby teams might fancy.
