With the league coming down to the wire Madrid needed a draw to beat last game rivals El Dogoes to the title.
The
game followed the exact formula of the teams League Cup Final. EL Dogoes
opening up an early 3-0 lead and then defending the lead with
controlled possession and precise defending. 4-0 to half time.
Second half Madrid regrouped, tried to play around the tight middle ground that El Dogoes was dominating, but to no real effect.
Adam
Cooper in the El Dogoes goal pulled of a string of great saves that
denied Madrid putting a resemblance of respectability to a 7-0 score
line that did no justice to their part in an excellent game.
