Grimsby Soccer Club 'A' and 'B' under 10 teams did fantastically well at the weekend playing in the RT Tours Cleethorpes Classic 2009 held over 2 days at Haverstoe Park. 

Rules were for mini soccer (7v7).

The 'A' team won the league only to lose out on penalties after extra time in the final.

The 'B' team was 3rd, keeping 6 clean sheets and losing 2 games by the narrowest of margins , 1-0.

Ossett Town A & B

Thorncliffe Juniors A & B

The team has travelled a long way since I first went to watch, it's hard to recall 2 seasons past the same players lost more games than they won; now it's the othe other way round and is especially pleasing; they are trying (and succeeding) to play to feet not hoof it and chase.

All the players train futsal on a Friday and play Monday's in the Novartis Junior Futsal League.   Parents have remarked on the progress the players have made since the their introduction to futsal.
