Shamrock 4 Youngs 2
Goalkeeper Lee Bushell scores a long range screamer as Shamrock's more intelligent futsal outwitted a younger team whose finishing and luck wasn't in on the night missing a plethora of chances.
College 3 Gunners 2
College keeper Cookie outstanding. Gunners lacked discipline with 4 players booked for dissent, Bobbie Lewsam was an angel and scored a brilliant left footed individual goal. Courty for College was like 'Bambi on Ice'.
Harvest 3 Fulstow 6
Harvest had some talent on show with Durosomo in particular outstanding as usual but Fulstow defended cleverly and hit on the break with Sam Hallet again showing what an accomplished futsal player he is. Boggsy missed a sitter for Fulstow but made up for it with a superb headed goal.
All Blacks 2 Catalonia 1
Catalonia took a deserved lead and batled hard all game to keep it with Deano in goal on top of his game. A sixth foul in the last few seconds gave 'Supermouth' keeper Lee Graves the opportunity to score the winner from the second penalty mark and he obliged. Yammy for All Blacks has the quickest feet I've ever seen and drew most of the fouls out of Catalonia with his ability.
All in all, a great night's quality futsal, but players have got to accept that the referee decides what is a futsal foul and realise that you get them more easily than 11 a side but not as easy as some players want who try to referee as well as play, consequently gobbing off aggressively at referees who might start turning these yellow cards into straight reds.
THE BEST FUTSAL TEAMS ARE THE MOST DISCIPLINED!!!!!!!!!!!!
4 terrific games, with the best saved till last
