Novartis u/11's:
East Coast Lions A & B teams played overflow game from Novartis in a trial league game at Second Avenue. The intention to find out players and coaches reactions to playing on bigger pitch. To form the 'A' team won 4-0, to consolidate their top position in league.
The players reaction to new pitch was mixed, some liked the extra space, the others preferred the tighter Novartis. Stu Orr the teams coach preferred Novartis as the sand on Second Avenue made the pitch more slippery.

Premier League:
Grimsby Institute struggled to get a team out against Fulstow Rover, resulting in a heavy defeat. New team management from within the College should rectify future problems. I have sanctioned Steve Goodwin continuing to play for 'Cats and Institute. There are just not enough GK's who know the rules and tactics for the number of teams playing.
Other results Newton Heath almost tipple 100% in 11 gaol thriller. Cats overturn Shamrock!

Wednesday:
Super fit Fresh (Scott, Adam. Luke) run their legs off to beat
Grimsby Saxons larger squad 7-6. Saxons Dave Green scored the Grimsby Institute goal of the week. The Fresh
keeper lost the ball near to 'Saxons goal'(supporting a Fresh attack), Dave managed to retrieve the lost ball and then chip almost every player on the
pitch to score from just outside his own penalty area.

Assisted Gavin Broughton to referee Scartholonia vs. Hemswell (3-6). Hemswell always just had to much for Scartho. Kirk Russell was a huge asset for a well balanced Hemswell side. Both keepers excelled. One Scartholonia player (?) caught me eye for FCGY team. The Scartholonia team has some very good players, now they need to add futsal knowledge and tactics to a game plan. 6 weeks and I could win league with these lads!
