Game of the 2008 so far..................followed by disappointment at Kent Street venue.........

All Blacks 1 Harvest FC 1.

I’m sure others will post comments, this was a cracking game.  End to end, great goal keeping, professional defending, silky touches, the game had it all. Not a dull moment in 40 minutes play.

Disappointment at Kent Street venue, 2 games cancelled because teams failed to notify they were on holiday, watching GTFC.  It is bad manners to the organisers not to make a fixture, it costs not to play, I would rather someone use the space for free rather than waste it.  What makes it doubly bad is the lack of respect for opponents that have bothered to face the cold rather sit watching Manchester Untd on TV.  One team has been expelled.

Back to the positives, another cracking Monday Premier League night of futsal with a quite a few people watching.  Catalonia almost salvaged a draw from in form Young’s’. 3-2. College had Fulstow on the ropes at 5-1, from that point Fulstow knew they had a reputation to retain and with a change of tactics took control of a lost situation. College could not find another gear and Fulstow exploited the situation to win 7-7.  John Higton made his College debut and scored a delightful chip from a position he was not meant to score from.  Gunners Watch were the 3rd team on a row hit by the Ryan Smith goal machine, debut player Neil Watts would not have anticipated the Harvest II blitz his team got. 6-1.

Tuesday table is taking on a whole new look, Littlefields has moved into 2nd place with games in hand, Grange are imploding, Young’s had a week of but are poised to pick up the pieces if anyone blips.  With bottom sides Baptist beating Grange and NBP taking Littlefields close anything might happen.  Hereford have been taken over and with a new squad surprises might come from that quarter.

Wednesday needed GK Supplies to beat Wanderers, close but not close enough. 5-3. The battle is for 2nd place; Hemswell, Expressions, GK Supplies, Piemonte; anyone from 4.

Kent Street we have mentioned, there was 1 game, Eindhoven and Grimsby Globetrotters sharing the points 9-9. The smaller pitches have a history of higher scores.  The Tuesday Kent St ‘web table’ has a ‘bug’ that is stooping the table updating.  Will sort asap................

Kent St Thursday is starting a new league II; Futsal warriors will love it, bottom last league, now top!  Played 1 won 1. I’ll leave it up as long as I can lads.

One space left, Tuesday night Kent St, if you know a team; 07980 286663
