Congratulations to Mathew Payne on being invited to join the England futsal training squad.  A huge compliment as the England training group and the England team has steadily raised its standards of the past seasons.  Mathew is an example to all young aspiring players, he has kept his head down, putting in 1000 of miles travelling to play for first FC Grimsby and now Leeds. 

Not being asked to join the group when he was top goal scorer two seasons ago must of cast doubts about ever receiving a call from the FA. 

A call to train with the group does not mean a first England cap is on the way, but it's a positive step in the right direction and a compliment to everyone playing or involved with the Grimsby Futsal League.
