Monday night provided another 4 solid matches, if I have to choose Young's Seafood vs. Grimsby All Blacks was the best game. 'Blacks' took an early 2-0 lead and Young's looked in for a long night, 2-1 and they had hope, but then the game ran away from them as 'Blacks' to a 4-1 lead. At this point 'Blacks' had looked really solid, the team has improved as a unit with the information Lee Graves has passed on from his England training sessions. Young's coach Rob Phillips was not blind to this and after a strong team talk Young's did what only good times can do, they improved when in a bad position. At 4-3 'Blacks' were rattled, Looay got sent off for disputing a 'not given hand-ball shout' in an iniquitous position; leaving his mates to play a man short for 2 minutes. They weathered the storm; regrouped with a 5th man added and scored 5-3. Young's responded 5-4 and could of caused an upset if they had got it tactically right sooner.
Looay gets a 1 match ban for his troubles, his team mates have asked can we make it 2.
Harvest 2-4 College 2001: Harvest tactically out thought.
Harvest
II 2-5 Shamrock: Harvest II knows they are learning the game; Shamrock
cannot be overlooked for the title, strong, skillful and have a great
mix of youth and Futsal experience.
Fulstow Rovers 3-4 Gunners
Watch: Gunners stretched to win this one, gifted a goal by a mediocre
Fulstow performance. 'Skoda' recovery clearence off his line with his
GK beaten to deny Fulstow was exceptional.
Tuesday night at Kent St and 2nd Avenue was a goals stampede, was it the new found son or were the teams not playing with GK's?
StreetSoccer
did the 2nd Avenue Tuesday League a favour beating table toppers Grange
de Saloa, whilst Littlefields destroyed Grimsby Auditorium who has
moved from top to mid table over past 5 games.
Immingham Futsal
might have lost 10-1 to Piemonte; but the score last year would have
been double; Piemonte v Immingham is Experience v Inexperience;
experience always wins in Futsal.
Have not got Tetney (Kent St
Thursday) result, but they are a good team to watch, they have had back
to back wins over teams they would not have been expected to win
against.
Thursday was valentines night, only the Tuzz team cried
off because they had to take their partners out for a £12.95 meal
doubled to £25 because there was a rose on the table!
