We
are
holding our 7th Annual Open Futsal Tournament on the 2nd
& 3rd July 2010 at Bells Sports Centre in Perth and would
like to invite you to join us
at this event. As well as the usual Youth Futsal event, this year also
sees the
introduction of a Mens Invitational tournament.
As
well as
hosting the Futsal tournament, we are also providing visiting teams with
an
optional tour package, which will include some of the most important
tourist
and football attractions in Scotland.
There will also be an end of tournament party for all teams, which will
include
a buffet.
The
tournament
will start at 5pm on Friday 2nd July, finishing at 5pm on
Saturday 3rd July, and is open to the following age groups
(based on
age as at 1st January 2010): 12 to 13 years, 14 to 15 years,
and 16
to 17 years.
All
participating
Teams will receive 2 commemorative T-shirts (Additional T-shirts
can be ordered in advance at a cost of £8 each), a team photo and a
trophy, and
each player will receive a commemorative Programme. The cost of
participating is £90 (Ninety British Pounds) per team.
Teams
must
have a minimum of 8 and maximum of 12 players. Whilst there will be
First-Aid
facilities on site at the sports hall, Teams must provide their own
insurance
cover for participating in the tournament and also travel insurance if
they are
taking part in the tour package. Perth Youth Futsal will not be held
responsible for any loss, damage or injury sustained during your visit.
Entries
are
limited to 6 teams per age group, so please apply early to avoid
disappointment. Game duration will be determined based on number of
participating teams – Each team will play a minimum of 3 games. We will
be
using 2 official-sized Futsal courts and following the FIFA Futsal
rules, with
a few exceptions such as game duration etc. Youth teams from outwith Perth may be
required to
provide proof of age of the players – eg Passport document.
For
teams
wishing to participate in the optional tour package we are pleased to
offer
this opportunity at a total cost of £125 (One Hundred and Twenty Five
British Pounds) per person (player / adult).
This
package
cost covers airport arrival / departure transportation (to Edinburgh /
Glasgow airports only – For Prestwick airport there will be an
additional
surcharge of £10 per person), all transportation within Scotland to
visit the
tourist sites, entry to Hampden Park (The Scottish Football National
Stadium
& Museum), Celtic Park (Stadium & Museum) in Glasgow, the
Wallace
Monument in Stirling (Historic national monument to William Wallace, of
whom
the film Braveheart was based upon), a day trip to Edinburgh, a tour of
Perth
and local football club St.Johnstone. Teams wishing to participate in
this
package must arrive in Scotland
no later than Tuesday 28th June and must stay until at least
Sunday 4th
July.
Hotel
accommodation
costs are not included in this package – Due to the requirement
to pay a non-refundable deposit to hotels for group bookings, Teams are
requested to arrange their own accommodation. We are very happy to help
and advise
in this process, and include a note of several hotels / websites for
your convenience:

prices starting around £30 per person per night.

Deadline
for Tournament entry (including non-refundable deposit): Sunday 30th
May
Tournament deposit = £40
Tournament fee = £90 (£50 balance payable by Sunday 20th
June).
The
Deadline
for Tour Package entry (including non-refundable deposit): Sunday 25th
April
Tour deposit = £50 (£75 balance payable by Sunday 20th June).
The
Deadline
for ordering additional T-shirts is Sunday 20th June.
Payment for additional T-shirts can be made at the tournament.
Once
you
have advised us that you wish to participate we will then send you the
payment/bank details.

note
that we do not assist teams that may require visas to attend, except
with
the provision of an official invitation letter to participate.
